This month…I have a lot to say.
Stick with me, I need your help!
March 4th: “Neurodiversity in the Workplace” training at the Anne Arundel County Public Library Leadership Summit
March 6-7 I'll be spreading all my PDA Safe Circle enthusiasm at the PDA North America Conference in Chicago.
(Rabbi Shoshana Meira Friedman has finally launched the PDA Safe Circle community and I am her biggest fangirl!  If you have a PDA kiddo, run to this community. More on this soon!)
March 21st: I'm presenting “Rethinking Adult Diagnosed Autism” at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium in Washington DC.  This yearly conference brings together many of my heroes in the therapy world.  To be able to offer a presentation that is listed in the same brochure as Tammy Nelson, Esther Perel, Dan Siegel, Lisa Ferentz, and Lindsay Gibson is a HUGE honor for me.  Get ready DC!  We have a lot of work to do!
March issue of Psychotherapy Networker Magazine is focused entire on Neurodivergence and therapy.  Two of my articles will be in this issue, including one on Neurodiverse Couples and another on the intersection of Eating Disorders and Autism.  I could not be more excited about this!

And if this sounds like a lot, it is.  Saddle up, there's more where this came from.

I'm speaking and I'd love for you to help me!
If a room full of mental health professionals were listening, what would you want them to know?

In 2016, a book entitled, “I Wish My Teacher Knew…”  kiddos shared anonymous things about what they wish their teachers knew but couldn't say.  It was heartbreaking, and beautiful to hear the raw, unfiltered words of kiddos who don't often get the opportunity to speak up for themselves.

So, I'm thinking there's an opportunity here.  In 2025, I'll have the ears of some of the best mental health professionals in the country gathered together in one room.  Many of them may not have any experience with late diagnosed, high masking Autistic adults.

If you knew therapists and other helpers were listening, what would you want them to know?

Hundreds of adults have shared stories with me about the trauma they endured when they received care from previous therapists.  Many of you have reported invalidation, and harm that occurred in the hands of untrained doctors, school staff, and other professionals. I believe that getting your voices out there helps us all to do better.

Mr. Rogers famously said, “Look for the helpers.  You will always find people who are helping.”  At a time when voices are being silenced, I'm ready to speak up.  Would you help me?

If you are comfortable sharing your words anonymously, email me your Autistic experience by finishing the sentence, “I wish therapists knew…”

Unmasked & Unplugged: A Retreat for Autistic Adults!

Uncover your authentic self with other Autistic adults and MEEEEE!

Escape with us to a beautiful, waterfront sanctuary, designed for relaxation and "unmasking."  Imagine four days of peace, connection, and total authenticity—where you don’t have to explain yourself, mask your quirks, or navigate the unspoken rules of Neurotypical spaces. The Unmasked & Unplugged retreat is designed to give you the freedom to just be.

This retreat is all about creating the kind of environment where you can finally exhale. Surrounded by nature, quiet moments, and sensory-friendly spaces, you’ll experience the magic of Neurodivergent intersubjectivity: that rare, beautiful connection that happens when you’re with people who truly get you. Here, conversations go straight to the good stuff—whether it’s an info-dump about a special interest, a shared love for parallel play, or comfortable silence that feels as meaningful as any words.

In this space, connection and autonomy coexist beautifully. You’ll have time to explore the outdoors, enjoy incredible meals prepared with care, and choose exactly how much socializing—or solitude—you need. There are no performance expectations, no small talk, and no obligations. Just you, being fully yourself, surrounded by a community that feels like coming home.

This retreat is a chance to tune into what true safety and acceptance feel like—so you can take that feeling home and rebuild it in your everyday life. Come as you are. Rest, reset, and leave with a deeper sense of who you are when the mask comes off.
Your place at the table is waiting. Will you join us?
