A WILD PERSPECTIVE #60 MARCH 2025 |
Hi First name / everyone! Firstly I have to apologies for missing Februaries newsletter, life just got in the way. That being said, it is not an excuse, and I will make sure that it doesn't happen again. Thank you all for understanding. The whole of February I was lucky enough to spend on safari with guests in Kenya. Hosting two back to back 12 day “Epic Kenya” trips for Pangolin. This amazing trip took us through Amboseli, Samburu and the Masai Mara. Keep an eye out on my social media as I will be sharing lots of fun reels and posts, but for now, I wanted to share a few highlights from the trip with you! - William |

The “Epic Kenya” trip starts in Amboseli National Park. An iconic park made famous for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro. That being said there is so much more to this park! From its incredible elephant (home to a few of the worlds last remaining tuskers), to its bountiful birdlife. Even the landscape is diverse, from dry lakebeds to marshy swamp land, it is the perfect ecosystem for an array of photographic styles. |
Samburu National Reserve is slowly becoming one of my favourite wild places in Kenya. Its desert environment and endemic wildlife makes for an incredible photographic destination. Famous for an abundance of rare species such as the Grevy Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx to name a few, I am also drawn to the flora. The looming Doum palms scattered along the river bed create for interest geometric shapes, perfect to frame an unsuspecting subject among. The mountain range as a backdrop also means that low-key photography images are easily found. |

MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE |
Masai Mara gets its fair share of love and hate, but one thing that is hard to debate is the predator photography opportunities. There are few places in the world that provide such an abundance of predator sightings. I have spent many weeks in the Mara, so this time I tried to search for the less obvious images! |

DEVON ULTRA ENDURANCELIFE 2025 |
In non photography news, I am please to say I completed my first ultra marathon of the year! 55km along the coastline of Devon, this gruelling race with over 1900m of elevation gain really did test my endurance. Balancing well over 200 days on safari last year, with training for an ultra, certainly has been a test! That being said it was all worth it crossing that finish line! |

Thank you as always for reading and I cannot wait to hear what you think of this months newsletter! Feel free to forward this to all your friends and family. The next newsletter is coming soon, so make sure you have signed up! |
