A few nights ago, I sat on the front of our home here in Iquitos, listening to the quiet hum of the city settling down for the night. Inside, the boys were finishing up their evening routine—some still laughing over a game of cards, others winding down with a book, watching their shows, or brushing their teeth. It was one of those moments that reminded me just how far we’ve come.
Not long ago, many of these boys carried burdens far too heavy for their young shoulders. Some had learned to survive on their own, unsure if they would eat the next day. Others had known only instability, never certain where they would sleep or who would care for them. But now, they are here—learning, healing, growing. They have a place to belong, a place to be kids again.
And that is what ABBA International is all about.
It’s about creating a home where restoration happens. It’s about breaking cycles of poverty, abandonment, and pain. It’s about standing in the gap for these children—not just meeting their immediate needs but walking alongside them as they build futures filled with hope. And every step of the way, you are part of this journey.
Today, I’m excited to share some of our most meaningful updates with you—stories of transformation, new opportunities, and the incredible ways we are growing as a family. So take a moment, settle in, and allow us to bring you into the heart of what’s happening here in Iquitos.
Back to School – Help Us Prepare Our Boys for a Bright Future!
In just a few days, our boys will be stepping into their classrooms, ready to take on a brand-new school year! For some, it’s an exciting time—seeing old friends, learning new things, and taking another step toward their dreams. For others, like our little Emmanuel, it will be their very first time in a classroom. No matter where they are in their journey, one thing is certain: they need the right tools to succeed.
At ABBA House, we believe education is key to breaking cycles of poverty and building a brighter future. But preparing for a new school year comes with many expenses—uniforms, books, school supplies, and other essentials. To ensure each of our boys has everything they need, we need to raise $2,380 before classes begin.
This is where you come in.
By giving toward our Back to School fund, you are directly investing in the education and future of these children. Your support provides them not only with school materials but also with the confidence and dignity that comes from being fully prepared.
Would you consider making a donation today? Every gift, big or small, makes a difference. You can give at our general giving page by clicking the button here:
Thank you for believing in these kids and walking alongside them as they grow, learn, and step into the futures God has planned for them!

Walter shares with us…
"As an active Christian in my constant pursuit of God, I feel called to be part of this ministry that works with lives—children, adolescents, and young people. Likewise, we are fulfilling our Ministry of Service with the youth, teaching them to grow spiritually each day through God’s Word and instilling values in them as human beings so that they may become productive members of society—transformed and restored in the fear of God.
I feel joyful working with the boys at ABBA HOUSE. Each day, we must set an example, demonstrating good testimony before God and men, seeking God's presence so that we do not fall into temptation. No work for God's kingdom is in vain. God is no one's debtor—He fulfills His promises."
Together, We Keep Moving Forward
First name / friend, because of you, our children are stepping into this new school year with confidence, knowing they are seen, loved, and supported. Thank you for being part of this journey—your prayers, generosity, and encouragement make all the difference.
As we prepare for all that this year holds, we continue to trust in God’s provision and faithfulness. There is so much ahead, and we can’t wait to share the victories, the growth, and the transformation that your support helps make possible.
From all of us here in Iquitos—thank you, a million times over!
With deep gratitude,
