We have added 2new dies to the library!
It was a light few weeks with new dies - we love seeing how you're using our existing die lines, so keep the projects coming! We have some really fun dies in the quoting stages right now that you're going to love, so keep your party pants on for the next e-mail with those additions.
1️⃣4x6" Pill// A great addition to our pills and ovals section! This is the perfect size for invitation details.
2️⃣ a9 Double rounded corner // Just like the PW double rounded corner, this is a great way to add a little elegance to those big cards!
Just a reminder…
Stationer to Stationer shares the cost of custom dies 50/50 with clients. We keep the die in our library for future use by all of our clients, including you!
If you prefer the die to be proprietary to you and/or you would like to keep the die, you would then pay the full cost of the die.
The above dies have also been added to their respective folders in the Dropbox folder and Adobe Library. If you have these added to your drive or Adobe account, they will auto update. Sometimes Adobe takes a while to update, so you may need to re-synce your creative cloud.
Letterpress Glossary

We are working on a glossary of letterpress terms and we want to hear from you, our community of amazing designers.
Are there words that letterpress printers use that are confusing to you? Or were they confusing at one point and you spent endless hours Googling the answer?
Our goal with the glossary is to provide a resource for our print besties (that's you!) to reference so you can better understand the letterpress and die cutting process. The more you know about the process, the more delight you can find in designing those amazing pieces for you and your clients.

We added a section to our file-set up page that includes minimum line width and dot size for printing that will help you set up your files for success!
Our plates have a minimum line thickness and dot size. For all lines we recommend at least a 0.25 point thickness (or larger). Look out for those hairlines on scripts and sketchy lines on detailed drawings!
For dots, we recommend at least a 1 pt diameter. Think dots of the i & j, periods, colons, semi-colons, etc.
We have more information about setting up your files for us on our Resource Site so you can reference at anytime.

calendar updates
For your planning, we will be closed the following days.
March 13 - 17th we will be out of the office entirely. No printing or die cutting will be happening, but you can still reach out to us for scheduling. Plates and paper will still be ordered during this time!
March 12 - 20th our main press, Nora the Vandercook, is getting a bit of a glow up (new rollers & bushings!) so she can continue to provide those chefs kiss detailed prints for you. Our other press, Dorothy will also be getting a glow up and will be getting set back up to print after being out of the print game for a few months. We're confident this won't impact printing timelines too much, but will keep you posted if it does!
