Lucid Dreaming is a specific type of dream state where the conscious and the subconscious mind are able to communicate with each other.

 

When you realize during a dream that you’re dreaming, this is called a lucid dream.

 

Once you are consciously aware in your dream state that it is a dream, you can then engage with the characters in the dream to change the dream’s outcome.

 

Since many spiritual and philosophy teachers believe that dreaming is our mind’s interpretation of everyday life, when you change your dream’s path, you can change your life.

We’re going to use the classic Rider Waite Tarot. I like using the Tarot for readings because it’s so common and ubiquitous, that even if an artist does their own spin on the art, you still will have a basic understanding of the message. 

 

Because of how popular the Tarot is, there are also tons of helpful resources for interpreting it, making it easier to learn.

 

If you were to learn one oracle system, the Tarot is where I’d recommend starting. What I like most is once you learn it, you can easily pull cards and understand the message, even on your lowest energy days.

 

Since we’re moving into an astrological period marked by stability, material wealth and prosperity, for this month’s reading we’re going to focus on building financial abundance.

 

Here are our questions:

This is one of my favorite Tarot cards from the deck.

 

It represents leaving troubled waters for a better future. The ferryman and his passengers have their backs toward us, there’s choppy water behind them and in the distance, and the course in front of them is smooth.

 

The swords in the front of the boat suggest the passengers are weighed down by the sorrows of the past, but they are moving to a better place.

 

It symbolizes a departure from the financial difficulties of the past. Your financial situation is improving and you’ll no longer feel like you’re under a lot of pressure. 

 

As you gravitate towards material stability, let past experiences be a reminder to you to keep an eye on your bank accounts; remain responsible so that problems don’t arise again.

 

If things have been going well, your finances should advance, though you’ll still need to be careful of becoming overconfident to the point where money is wasted.

 

This card depicts a wealthy merchant standing on top of his castle’s overlook. He’s in a relaxed position, gazing into the abyss and holding a crystal ball.

 

It suggests a project is complete and it now supports the man. From his currently secure and comfortable position, he now holds a new wand, representing a new project, in his grasp. He is looking out with optimism and hopeful anticipation. At this moment, he holds the world in his hands.

 

The Two of Wands represents financial stability. Not necessarily overflowing wealth, but it indicates your situation is comfortable and steady. 

 

You are secure enough to make plans for your long term financial future. It’s a prime time for making conscious choices regarding your material wealth without serious repercussions. If you have access to additional money, consider investing some of it in savings.

 

It also symbolizes making decisions about the paths in front of you. You may have a choice between two different positions, vendors or partners, and be able to make that choice from a safe position where your long range goals are considered.

 

The King cards represent potential power, they’re the masters of the elements. This King is associated with the fire element and the zodiac sign Leo. He’s brave, dominant, generous and enthusiastic, looking out over his kingdom with expectation.

 

This card suggests you’ll need to take care of financial matters with creative thinking, innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. The time is right to seek out new opportunities for financial growth. Good money management will help you experience long term success.

 

To find the new revenue opportunities, use leadership, creativity and a “startup” mindset - it will lead to substantial financial rewards. 

 

The King of Wands suggests a proactive and visionary approach is needed right now, as a new, innovative direction could open up opportunities.

 

Fearless, action-oriented behavior will motivate you and others around you. 

 

If you’re thinking of starting a business, this is a positive sign. This card also suggests you may already be experiencing success in a leadership role.

 

A man sits under a tree in meditation but his arms are folded in a sulking, defensive posture. He’s contemplating the three cups in front of him but another cup arrives from out of a cloud, unexpectedly. 

 

This card represents an abundance message coming out of the blue from a text, phone call, email or another form of direct communication. It symbolizes more news about a situation that has already developed. The man’s mood suggests the news is unwelcome.

 

The card symbolizes a shift in your view on new, unexpected money news may be helpful. Keep an open mind to financial information coming from left field - see it as a helpful opportunity to add an additional cup to the suite in front of you.

This card also suggests that financial news could arrive suddenly that will add to your overall wealth - accept the information with open arms and resist reacting defiantly to the news.

 

One thing to note about all of the cards is they are from the Minor Arcana, which represents day to day events. The Major Arcana, represents bigger life changes and the cards from this suite are absent from the reading. 

 

This means that there will likely be no major surprises or upheaval, which represents a welcome relief.

 

This month the cards suggest you’re leaving difficulties with material abundance behind, but to keep them in the past, learn from your experiences and keep an eye on your bank accounts - do not let your guard down.

 

From a comfortable and secure position, it’s the perfect time to make plans for your long term financial future, as doing so will align you with more abundance.

 

To explore new sources of income, take an entrepreneurial, visionary approach. Use creativity, action and innovation to be proactive on any new opportunities that come to mind. 

 

You may also receive financial news out of the blue, so consider accepting the information with a sense of curiosity. A less defensive stance towards new money news that arrives out of the blue can be helpful. 

 

All in all, any financial difficulties in the past seem to be moving out of the picture, so you’re in the perfect place to consider your long term goals. New sources of income are available when you take the lead and act with a sense of fearlessness. Keep an open mind to money news out of the blue.
