The CALC Education team has successfully implemented their Solar Siting and Agrivoltaics Project several times in 2025. Broomfield and Mead high school students were able to learn about solar energy and agrivoltaics, present their findings to the class in a structured debate setting, and share their opinions with real world stakeholders. Thank you to our teachers Eliza Rayner, Drew White, and the C4CA staff and volunteers for helping us implement the project. A special shoutout to our many stakeholders including farmers, solar developers, county government staff, and county commissioners that assisted with our project. Please reach out to Allison if you are interested in participating in the future.

The Solar Farm Summit has opened their 2025 Dual-Use Design Challenge, a student design challenge to inspire the next generation of pioneers and innovators at the intersection of energy, agriculture, and environment. Competing entries must be submitted by June 11, 2025. Finalist and winning projects will be displayed and celebrated at the 2025 Solar Farm Summit in Chicago and will receive prizes and national recognition!
