It's time to update the Greenwich Sustainability Committee's State of Sustainability Report. Email us your updates! What did your organization accomplish in 2024 that you are proud of and want the community to know? Send us a few sentences summarizing your accomplishments: 
metrics + data, wins, areas of growth -- anything you want to share.

Food + Ag Policy | see policy page here
 
- Includes status updates on state bills, and periodic updates around changes to federal nutrition funding. As of March 7th the second 
infusions of funding for Local Food for Schools Incentive Program 
(local school procurement) and Local Farm Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (farm to pantry) were cut. 
 
- There are several other programs under threat. Please engage our 
federal and state delegation. These policies matter and are impacting 
our community and our neighboring communities on many levels.
 
Access + Equity:
 
- Exploring the implementation of the Farmers' Market Nutrition Program at the Old Greenwich and Greenwich Farmers' Markets.
 
- Possible implementation of  language around food and farming into the Greenwich POCD.
 
Farm To School: 
 
- In February, New Lebanon School, in partnership with Foodshed & Greenwich Public Schools, applied to the Northeast Farm To School Institute. We are waiting to hear back.
