Our bespoke bench for the Cape Town project design blends the timeless appeal of natural materials with a sense of subtle sophistication. The integration of travertine stone and textured fabric creates a harmonious balance, where the rich, grounding tones of earth converge with a warm terracotta accent, inviting both comfort and contemplation. This piece is a celebration of nature’s simplicity and warmth, thoughtfully crafted to enrich any space with a touch of understated elegance.

 

The living room wall cladding is thoughtfully designed to merge the rich, organic warmth of walnut wood with the tactile depth of textured paint, achieving a refined balance between smooth and raw materials. The walnut wood, with its deep, natural grain and inviting tone, introduces a sense of warmth and sophistication, while the textured paint contributes an earthy, handcrafted quality that enhances the overall sensory experience of the space. This interplay of materials not only adds layers of visual interest but also creates a grounding effect, reinforcing a harmonious connection to nature. The bed headboard that we have created for this project is thoughtfully designed with soft, curved detailing, introducing a gentle sense of fluidity that enhances the overall comfort and elegance of the space. This sculptural element adds a feeling of movement and softness, creating a visually soothing backdrop. Complementing this, a carefully crafted wood pattern screen serves as a striking feature, subtly interrupting the neutral tones to introduce both texture and depth. The intricate wood grain and geometric pattern infuse the space with a sense of rhythm, preventing the design from feeling overly uniform while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.

Above, a pendant light is integrated into the design, its understated presence offering a warm, ambient glow. The delicate interplay of light and shadow adds an inviting dimension, while its subtle hint of color enriches the palette without overwhelming the serenity of the setting. Together, these thoughtfully curated elements establish a harmonious balance between softness and structure, contrast and cohesion, resulting in a space that feels both tranquil and engaging—an environment that exudes refined comfort and subtle luxury.

Santorini in JBR is a project that captures the essence of calm, serenity, and refined Mediterranean beauty while harmonizing with the breathtaking vistas of JBR Beach and Palm. 

Designed as an oasis of tranquility, this space transforms into a peaceful hideaway, where coastal elegance meets contemporary sophistication. As the project progresses, the environment evolves into a serene sanctuary, offering a perfect balance between relaxation and aesthetic refinement.

The material palette is thoughtfully curated to reflect the coastal surroundings, evoking a sense of natural beauty and warmth. Rich blue marbles mirror the endless expanse of the sea, creating a seamless dialogue between the interiors and the panoramic ocean views. Ribbed stone claddings and textured paint introduce depth and organic appeal, adding a tactile element that enhances the sensory experience. The integration of wood veneers infuses the space with an understated richness, grounding the design in warmth and authenticity.

 

The entire ambiance is one of effortless harmony, where every detail is carefully considered to establish a profound connection with the natural landscape. The seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces allows the residence to breathe with its surroundings, embracing the rhythm of the sea and sky. With its refined approach to coastal living, Santorini in JBR embodies the perfect balance of elegance, tranquility, and organic beauty. Every element, from material choices to spatial flow, contributes to an atmosphere of pure relaxation, making this project the quintessential seaside hideaway—a retreat that soothes the senses and invites a profound sense of calm.

Beverly Hills, located in the exclusive Emirates Hills, is a residence in which each space tells a story and flows easily from one to the next. 

The grand staircase sets the tone from the minute guests enter, leading you on a meticulously planned journey around the home. The classic majlis exudes elegance, and the beautiful onyx marble bar is a statement of delicate impressiveness. 

The stunning dining area has a custom table that grounds the space with refinement, while the cozy family lounge provides a pleasant contrast and invites personal gatherings.

On the first floor, the design transitions into a meticulously designed family hall, creating a welcoming and connected area that leads to the children's bedrooms, each with a unique fit-out that balances functionality and elegance. The large master bedroom is a true retreat, combining luxurious components with a peaceful atmosphere, while the guest bedrooms keep a sophisticated design, ensuring visitors' comfort.

The rooftop gym, which tops the home, provides a quiet, well-equipped place with an open, airy vibe that is ideal for an upgraded wellness experience. Custom fit-outs throughout the house have been purposefully designed to incorporate rich materials, textures, and tones, resulting in a harmonious and timeless composition.

This month, as we delve deeper into the world of sustainability, we uncover yet another hidden gem from around the globe.

 

 Hotel Terrestre is one-of-a-kind eco-luxury retreat in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, designed by renowned architect Alberto Kalach and developed by Grupo Habita. Entirely solar-powered, the hotel is a testament to sustainable architecture, seamlessly blending with its natural surroundings. Its design embraces a raw, brutalist aesthetic, using locally sourced materials like concrete, clay, and wood to create a harmonious connection with the environment.

 

With only 14 villas, Hotel Terrestre offers an intimate and tranquil experience, free from distractions like televisions and artificial lighting at night. There is no air conditioning; instead, the architecture is designed for natural ventilation, using cross breezes, thermal mass, and water features to maintain a comfortable climate. This approach fosters a true appreciation for the climate and the surrounding ecosystem, encouraging guests to embrace a more mindful way of living.

 The emphasis on wellness is evident throughout the property, with private plunge pools, an open-air spa, a traditional temazcal, and meditation areas that encourage relaxation and reconnection with nature.

 

It is a place where nature and design coexist in perfect harmony, offering an experience that is both immersive and deeply restorative.
