This is week seven (almost done guys!) in my series and this one's a biggie.
Reason #7:
If there's no real urgency, there's no action.
Let's be real. People love to procrastinate. If there's no urgency, they'll put off making a decision… indefinitely. That's why FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) is such a powerful conversion tool.
If your landing page doesn’t create a sense of “act now or miss out”, visitors will assume they have all the time in the world—which means they’ll leave and probably never come back.
How to Fix It (Without the Fake Stuff)
🚫 No fake timers that reset every time you refresh the page.
🚫 No false scarcity (“Only 2 left!”… when you clearly have unlimited).
People can see through that nonsense, and once you break trust, you’ve lost them for good.
Instead, use urgency that’s real:
✅ If you actually have a limited number of spots, say it. (“Only 3 client slots open this month.”)
✅ If your offer expires, make sure it actually does. (“This bonus disappears at midnight.”)
✅ If it’s a limited edition, don’t restock it next week.
Your Quick Fix For This Week:
Look at your CTA right now. Does it create urgency honestly? If not, tweak it. Swap “Sign Up Today” for something like “Join Now—Doors Close Friday at Midnight” (and then actually close them).
Real urgency builds trust. Fake urgency breaks it. Choose wisely.
Until next week,
