Happy Friday First name / To You :)
Here is this week's Online Marketing Hack…
The only 5 LinkedIn Posts You Need To Post
What does that mean?
Scroll your
LinkedIn timeline and what do you see, endless sales posts, endless us in the office posts and endless look at me posts. It's not that these are necessarily wrong, but it's definitely that these have been done and so you the reader are less likely to be stopped in your tracks (as you've seen it all before).
Optimise always encourages clients to 'think differently' and this is a perfect example. Rather than posting the same content let's try something that will help you to stand out and it's starts by creating one of the 5 content types below: -
(1) - Storytelling Posts
WHAT: Build emotion, relatability and show the transformation. Showcase your business through telling a story rather than a statement, show where you started, what you had to battle and where you are today (usually winning), movies have been built on this formula for years! (think Rocky, Star Wars etc.)
(2) - Speaker Posts
WHAT: Give your opinions and insights about a topic. It showcases your expertise whilst usually helping add empathy to your posts. People relate and are more likely to react.
(3) - Grenade Posts
WHAT: Make a statement, drop the mic and walk away. These posts are built for reaction (good and bad) that because of the reactions can get some serious reach.
(4) - Sales Posts
WHAT: Screenshots of your success, case study wins etc. Not want to buy this but flipped, this is what you should be buying because we are good at it.
(5) - List Posts
WHAT: Make a statement and back it up with a list (Ironically just like this email). Usually it's a Here's what you are failing at and here's the list to fix it.
Hopefully you can see that the 5 content posts have a point and a reason, they are designed to engage rather then tick a box posting. If you would like me to explain more about any of them, feel free to reach out :)
