"The Artist Awakening"  New Art Reveal!

First up, I’m unveiling my latest piece, “The Artist Awakening”—a celebration of purple and stepping into our bold creative selves. You know, that part of us that we sometimes hold back, neglect, or don’t make time for.

I don’t work in a linear way—not with art, not with anything. I often start ten things at once, get bored, wander off to another project, forget about half of them, and then, months (or years) later, something calls me back. And when it does, I know it's time to bring it into the world. Anyone else who are like this?

This piece dictated my entire month—so much so that I ended up painting my entire studio in two shades of purple… and some yellow. (I'll share photos when it's done!)

Do you have a creative project that’s been calling to you? If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life gets better when we lean into those urges.

I repainted the studio… And learned about chaos

I’ve realized that I find renovations more stressful than moving house, and even moving countries. Sounds weird, right? But when you move, you start fresh. When you renovate, you have a vision—but getting from idea to reality? That’s a whole different challenge.

Here’s what happened:
1. I had an idea.
2. I questioned the idea.
3. I searched for references but found nothing quite right.
4. I sourced the paint, hoping they were the right ones (they weren’t last time and we only found out half way through).
5. I hired people. Because everyone says they can paint. (They can’t.)
6. The timeline stretched. Things went missing, investigations and bad vibes happened. More delays.
7. After a week of hopping between places, eating out, and blowing through 100GB of mobile data (at least), I was done.

Lessons learned?
✔️ Never renovate both home and studio at the same time.
✔️ Take your time to find the right people.
✔️ Move your precious things elsewhere—dust will get everywhere.
✔️ Accept that no one will care about your space as much as you do.
✔️ Embrace the chaos. It will be worth it (eventually).

Anyone else survived a renovation and stayed sane? Because right now, my whole life feels like one big renovation—kind of exciting, slightly terrifying, and definitely very adult.

Sneak peek of the new studio! What do you think?
When you go all in and get to live out your wildest interior design dreams… This feels light, happy, creative, playful and fun. I promise to share some more pics soon.
