Hello First name / friend!
As we step into a new week of Lent āļø, I wanted to encourage all of us to try and go to daily mass this week. Prior to writing this email, I had the chance to sneak away to daily mass. (obviously running a few minutes behind - but I made it there before the Gospel!) John watched Sophie while I got to receive Jesus in the Eucharist and I was just humbled by the opportunity. How blessed are we to have the opportunity to receive Him every day? It has been a habit in my life since grade school and I can thank my mom for instilling this habit in me. I was homeschooled until I graduated high school, and my mom always made sure we made it to daily mass at least a few times every week. This became such an important habit that I kept it up during college, grad school, working life and now.
I can just feel the graces being poured out and there is no substitute.⨠Now, my days do look a little different with a baby and I am unable to make it to daily mass every day. But there are days when God opens the door. The beautiful thing is how our Lord can purify anything. Staying home with your kids and canāt make it to mass? How beautiful! Youāre living out your specific vocation, and the Lord will shower you with the graces you need. Or perhaps time opened up in your day and you can make it to mass? How wonderful! The Lord is giving you a gift by letting your day open up to receive Him!
I know that daily Mass might not always be available for everyone, but I want to encourage you to see if thereās a way to make it happen at least once this week.
If Mass isnāt an option, an Act of Spiritual Communion is a simple but powerful way to remain in Jesus and invite Him into your soul and day.
This whole season of lifeāpregnancy, labor, delivery, and now postpartumāhas been a constant call to remain in His love. And what a gift the Sacraments are in helping us do just that. Some days, my schedule surprises me, and I realize God has carved out an unexpected opening for Mass. Iām learning to recognize these moments for what they areāHis gentle invitationāand to lean into them rather than filling the time with something else.
āļø So, hereās my encouragement to you this week: āļø
1ļøā£ Try to get to daily Mass at least once.
3ļøā£ Be open to the ways God might be clearing space in your schedule for Him.
