By challenging traditional fitness norms that exclude and stigmatize, we’re building an accessible, affirming, and uplifting environment where everyone can feel strong, confident, and celebrated.

BBF is led by a team of body-inclusive fitness instructors, dancers, and educators who are committed to making fitness a joyful and empowering experience for all.

RACHEL LAURIA, Co-Founder
Rachel is a passionate plus-size fitness instructor with 10 years of experience teaching in NYC. With over 20 years as a trained dancer and choreographer, she holds multiple fitness certifications, including AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, NASM Personal Trainer, and Fitness Nutritionist. For Rachel, BBF represents a deeply personal mission. Her own struggles with the fitness and dance industry and her love for movement and dance drive her to give back. She is dedicated to redefining fitness, proving that strength and health come in all shapes and sizes.

Fabienne Beard-Wright, 
Co-Founder
Fabienne Beard-Wright is a choreographer and dance instructor specializing in Caribbean soca, Cuban salsa, and West African dance. As a first-generation Caribbean-American, she uses dance to honor her heritage and celebrate the resilience, history, and joy of the African diaspora. Fabienne blends traditional rhythms with contemporary approaches, fostering inclusivity and belonging through classes, performances, and workshops. Her work creates spaces where individuals from all backgrounds feel empowered to move and connect while preserving and evolving cultural traditions for future generations.

 
FAQ
HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO COMMIT EACH WEEK?
Most workouts are 15–30 minutes long, and the schedule is flexible. You can move at your own pace and adjust as needed.
 
WHAT IF I FALL BEHIND AND NEED EXTRA SUPPORT?
We’re here for you! You’ll have access to 1-on-1 check-ins with Fabienne & Rachel and can lean on our WhatsApp group for encouragement and accountability.
I'M NEW TO FITNESS— CAN I STILL JOIN?
Absolutely! Our workouts are beginner-friendly and tailored to help you build strength and confidence at your own pace.
 
ARE THE WORKOUTS ACCESSIBLE FOR POEPLE WITH DISABILITIES?
Yes! We include chair-assisted options and functional movements that cater to a range of abilities and fitness levels.
