SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE
april, 2025

It’s April…my favorite month of the year as Spring is underway.

It’s a time when I feel the world is opening up again…awakening and coming back to life after a long winter…especially here in Wisconsin.  It’s also my birthday month and “diamond” is my birthstone. How perfect since diamonds are my very favorite gemstone.

Many of you think of pure white crystals when you think of diamonds, but indeed they come naturally occurring in a whole rainbow of colors from yellow, blue, pink, orange, green, purple – and every shade of each of those colors from faint to vivid!

Minerals like nitrogen and boron impart color to these diamonds during their formation millions of years ago. My favorites are the Canary (yellow), pinks and blues. Here’s some gorgeous natural colored diamonds (also called fancy color) in a variety of these vibrant and rare colors. What’s your favorite color?

The prices of natural colored diamonds can be much higher than white diamonds depending on their color, intensity, size, and inclusions. Some are definitely more rare and unusual in their hues and command top prices!

Many of my clients have become very intrigued with the rarity and uniqueness of these beautiful colored diamonds and are making them the centerpiece of their engagement rings and even use them as accent diamonds. If you want something truly one-of-a-kind, then a natural colored diamond may be your best option.

Happy Easter!  This month many of us who are Christians also celebrate Easter.  It’s a time to acknowledge, honor and give thanks to our Lord God for sending us his only begotten son Jesus Christ who shared his teachings, wisdom, and miracles, suffered and sacrificed his life for our sins, and rose from the dead 3 days later to renew our faith, our belief and to glorify God.

Yes, the Easter bunny, eggs, jellybeans and “peeps” candy are symbolic of this holiday, but the true meaning lies in how much God and Jesus loves us!

STORIES OF INTRIGUE
How Botswana Guarantees Free Education for All Children

For decades, the natural diamond industry has helped to make free education available to the children of Botswana.

I love that the industry I am so passionate about – the diamond industry – has stepped up in recent years to really invest back into their communities to ensure a better quality of life for their people and operate their diamond mines with sustainability as the forefront of their operations.

Their efforts are being noticed, praised and lauded by many.  I no longer need to defend the previously tarnished reputation of the mining industry who was perceived as hurting the environment and the surrounding communities.  I can highlight stories such as this which showcase their true care and concern about making a positive and lasting impact on the world.

Botswana’s diamond industry has made education a top priority in conjunction with the government. All diamond mining operates under a licensing agreement with the government in which 80 percent of diamond-related revenues are put back into the country’s economy. Debswana, a 50/50 joint venture between De Beers and the government of Botswana, runs four primary schools surrounding the Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa mining communities and mining revenues help fund more than 300 other schools in the country.

Tuition for children of mine employees is generously subsidized. The Natural Diamond Council’s Global Ambassador Lily James witnessed the impact first-hand during a recent trip to Botswana, which included a stop at the The Livingstone House Primary School.

What a beautiful and magical location! I actually have a number of clients who reside in Costa Rica, so this was a working trip as well as a vacation. I love I’m in a position to meet people from all over the world and make so many new friends who have turned into clients as well.

We are planning to establish residency there once we purchase a condo and spend our winters in the warmth and sunshine. With everything so accessible via internet, I am fortunate I can do business in many locations.

I love doing Private VIP Trunk Shows at home here in Wisconsin, but I’ll also be working with local jewelry designers in Costa Rica once down there to showcase their beautiful creations as well.

I do have an upcoming private VIP Trunk Show Event coming up on May 8th & 9th featuring vintage, period and other more modern “pre-loved” jewelry. It’s just in time for Mother’s Day shopping. I’ll be in partnership once again with Faye’s Boutique in Mequon, who offers the latest trends in fashion and accessories.

If you’re local to the Milwaukee area, pay a visit to Faye’s to work with one of their amazing fashion stylists to add some cool new pieces to your wardrobe this spring.

We’re going to feature the jewelry items at a fashion show and then hold a trunk show at the boutique. More details to follow in the May newsletter but let me know if you want to snag an invite for the trunk show and we’ll get you on the guest list.

DO YOU LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE?

Well…we all know there are no two people who are exactly alike. And…thank goodness for that! How boring would it be if there were little to no differences in the people we interact with. How refreshing and intriguing to meet and connect with people of different shapes, sizes, color, religion, cultures, beliefs, and interests.

I already know myself really well, so I love talking to people about their story because that’s where the learning takes place…when you ask questions and listen vs. doing all the talking.

Naturally, we are typically attracted to people or groups who generally share the same beliefs or interests…like my gym family, my spiritual family, or my business networking family…for example. It’s great to have this “home base” where we feel comfortable in conversations and behavior, but it’s only when we step outside those comfort zones that we truly grow.

So, it’s good to hang with your “peeps”, and I absolutely love my tribe…but I equally love and embrace meeting someone new, learning something new and interesting, and sharing that news with others in my circle.

I thank God often for my curious mind, my sense of adventure and challenge, and fearlessness in stepping outside my comfort zone.

The key in all of this is to not be too judgmental.  That’s so hard because we all have our biases, but I try and put them aside when connecting with new people and trying new experiences. I am often reminded God has made no mistakes so accept and embrace people as they are!  He created everyone perfectly perfect in His eyes. We are the ones as humans which kind of mess with that perfection through our thoughts, words and behavior. Now only if I could see things exactly as He sees them, I’d be of the right mindset every time.

I have also become very discerning in who I let into my inner circle. Some new encounters are meant to be brief…others develop into longer lasting friendships. Choose wisely. Who makes you feel good, whose energy is uplifting, whose heart is in the right place, who is a person of good character and integrity, and who is respectful of you and your own uniqueness?

Those are the ones whose relationship I take to the next level. It’s my intuition and inner knowing as to whom these people are. When I find them…I grab them up into my heart and make sure I cherish them and keep them close.

So, in my perspective the bottom line is to feel comfortable in your own skin. Be you!! And when we do that, it’s easier to open ourselves up to attracting other amazing and authentic people into our lives.

Tell me your story…I already know mine.
