Part 3: Coming Full Circle
From the Heart of Kim Hayes, with special thanks to Alison Murrell
To conclude Alison's story, she writes, "Alpha and Omega continues to grow and provide opportunities for more memories with family and friends to be made, by hosting events in the spring, summer, and fall. The events range from weddings, celebrations of life, business retreats, to birthdays. Echoing the farm's history of being the place where traveling family members camped out in their motorhomes, a recent addition to the farm includes two glamping sites for those looking to spend more time outdoors, in a cozy setting. Kim says, “It's kind of a farm style, glamping. You're looking right out at the field with the cattle, alpacas, and donkeys there.”
According to Kim, the people who visit the place are like family and this is evident as
she moves around from table to table, saying, "Hi friends" and "Hi family, how are we
doing today?" Kim says, "That's what I want people to feel, even if it's their first time
here, that they're part of our family or they're our friends."
It's easy to say, Erwin and Eleanor would be proud of the new life and community the
farm has. Every year since its opening Erwin and Eleanor's daughter Carol and her
husband Craig, along with her children, and grandchildren visit Alpha and Omega. They enjoy the pizzas and coming together as a family. "I really think it's beautiful. I think that mom and dad would be so pleased." Carol said.
I had the chance to stand at the top of the stairs where I once sat thinking that I might
never see the place again, nearly ten years later. This time, the place was filled with joy, hope, laughter, and community once more. Sometimes, what appears to be the ending is really just the beginning of something wonderful."
The most touching part of our story is how the Reynolds family, including their daughter Carol and her extended family, still visit us to enjoy pizza and make new memories in their parents' beloved home. As Alison beautifully put it, "Sometimes, what appears to be the ending is really just the beginning of something wonderful."
And speaking of new beginnings, we're thrilled to announce that our pizza ovens will be firing up next month for another incredible season at Alpha and Omega Farm. After
sharing this three-part journey with you - from Erwin and Eleanor's love story, through our pandemic beginnings, to where we are today - we can't wait to welcome you back to create more memories with us.
Whether you're a familiar face we greet by name or a first-time visitor about to become part of our extended family, there's always room at our tables and warmth by our fire pits. This season promises new surprises, from our cozy glamping experiences to special events that bring our community together. Come watch the sunset over the
alpaca field, share stories around the fire pit, and taste the love we put into every wood-fired pizza we serve.
Join us as we continue writing the next chapters of Alpha and Omega Farm's story -
together. Our doors, gates, and hearts are open for another wonderful season of food,
family, and farm-fresh memories. See you soon, friends and family! Follow us on social media or visit our website for opening dates and special events.
