BOOK LAUNCH: A Field Guide to Magaliesberg Trees

Now in its second edition, this field guide makes it possible for the seasoned hiker and the casual day visitor to identify the trees of the Magaliesberg mountain range and Biosphere Reserve, from the most common ones to the rare forest trees.

Reuben Heydenrych will give a brief introduction to his book A Field Guide to Magaliesberg Trees (FGMT) and to Trees and Shrubs of the Waterberg (TSW). Both are comprehensively illustrated photographic guides.

FGMT is the second edition of his field guide that was originally published in 2018. The current edition is expanded and improved, with better design, more species and common shrubs also being included. Reuben contributed to the development of TSW, a hardcover guide to trees, shrubs, climbers and tree orchids of the Waterberg.
