First off, thank you for inquiring about our esthetics program! Skin Specialists School of Esthetics is a privately owned esthetician school located on Robeson St in Fayetteville. Established in 2024, we are the areas only medical aesthetics program! We are located about a mile down from the medical spa, Skin Specialists of Fayetteville. Our program will successfully prepare our students to pass the North Carolina state boards while earning their required 600 credit hours. We go a step beyond the other schools because we will be implementing so much more than just the minimum requirements of the state board!
The Curriculum
This is what's considered an accelerated program. That means instead of joining an incredibly long wait list and then taking a year or more to complete the program, you'll be graduating within 6 months. Just like the other esthetic programs in this state, you'll receive the required 600 credit hours in the theory, practical and clinical learning styles that prepares you to pass your North Carolina state licensing exam. What the others don't do, is prepare you for AFTER you take that test! Our students receive classes in marketing, business start up, resume building, medical aesthetics, aesthetic career success and MORE! In addition to all of these extras, you'll also receive 16 hours of shadowing in a medical spa with a licensed esthetician. As a student at SSSE, you'll have the opportunity to become certified in dermaplaning, microneedling, individual lash extensions, the Hydrafacial, phlebotomy and oncology skincare! You'll also receive an introductory course to permanent makeup! As you'll learn in our program, estheticians have many career paths they can choose from once licensed. Estheticians can work in day spas, wellness centers, medical spas, dermatology and plastic surgeons offices, they can open their own businesses and work for themselves and they can also become company representatives for one of the many aesthetic companies and travel the country! We prepare you for any and all of these routes!
The Cost
Tuition in total is $12,000. To secure a seat in the upcoming class, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required and this does go towards your tuition balance. Tuition will cover your uniforms, textbooks, student kits and your state board kit. It will also cover your student liability insurance and provide a ton of extra benefits such as website creation, professional photos to begin marketing yourself as a future skincare provider, career development, business networking, most of your certifications and job placement assistance. The only additional costs that are not covered under your tuition will be your cap and gown ($40), your lash extension kit ($45), the skincare kit that goes along with the oncology certification ($350) and if you decide to become nationally certified in phlebotomy ($500).
As a graduate from our program you'll earn discounts with several aesthetic companies if you choose to work with them. Companies like ASCP, Hydrafacial, FaceReality and GlossGenius all recognize our graduates as successful providers that they are ready to partner with!
We provide $1,000 off tuition for all military, retirees and their dependents. We also provide $1,000 off for those that have graduated high school within the past 3 years. These can be combined if you qualify for both.
We provide a $4,000 scholarship for high school seniors that enroll prior to graduating or within 3 months of graduating high school. This scholarship does require 24 volunteer hours at a non-profit of your choice.
The Schedules
We offer day and night class options. Our day class attends Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Our night class attends Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm as well as Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. They typically attend 2 to 3 Saturdays each month. We typically close down for federal holidays. Our next start date is June 9th. We typically have a new class start every 3 months.
Financing
Our financing partner Wurthy offers you the ability to finance your remaining balance after your $1,000 deposit over 36 months. Financing at 36 months will keep your payments less than $500 a month. If you find that you do not qualify for the 36 month plan, we can automatically approve you for an 18 month plan without any needed approval!
