Greetings Barre Bae!

Sunday marked one year since hosting my very first backyard barre class at my home. It ended up raining that day, so my husband and I moved our dining room table into the living room and some of my closest girlfriends piled into my kitchen for classes! Since then the FBW community has grown from close friends, to friends of friends, friends of friends of friends, and most recently, locals who have found me on Google. It's been an amazing year and I couldn't be more grateful for this community and its support.

This week we're RSVP'ing for the FBW anniversary class and party, checking out a new member spotlight, earning free classes, and taking advantage of the special anniversary class pack. There's also a flash sale for retreat tickets happening. Register this week and save $100!

Meet Edith, a Bay Area resident with a passion for dance.
FBW: Tell us a little bit about yourself.

EB: I live in San Pablo and have been in the Bay Area most of my life. I love dancing, yoga, and recently doing barre!

FBW: What is your favorite thing about practicing barre?

EB: I love that barre is a mix of all my favorite passions!

FBW: What makes barre different from other modes of movement you do/have done?

EB: I used to do bootcamp/ weight lifting classes. What I love about barre is that you don’t need heavy weights to get a good workout. I feel the
burn more with barre, but I love having full mobility of my body even if I am sore.

FBW: What would you tell someone considering trying barre at FBW?

EB: I would tell someone to just try and be open! It may be hard but keep going, it will be worth it.

FBW:
What’s the biggest thing you’ve noticed since starting your barre practice?

EB: I can definitely feel myself getting stronger and more sculpted. Barre also really aligns with my dance training to make me a better dancer too.

Erica is one of the best movement instructors I've ever had and Barre has been life changing for me (no exaggeration). Through her gentle, thoughtful, amazing instruction, she introduced me to a new way to move, exercise, engage with my body that feels so good and healing and strengthening. And the vibes and playlists are always top tier. While I'm sad that I no longer live in CA and can't attend her in person classes (the space she has is gorgeous), the fact that this is my favorite class and it's virtual is just a testament to how dope she is and how great Freedom Barre & Wellness is. I would take her virtual classes over other in person classes any day (and I do). Always counting down to my next class. Couldn't recommend enough, would give 10 stars if I could.
A friendly reminder that leaving a Google review will earn you a free drop in class or $15 off your monthly membership. Google reviews not only give useful feedback to me as an instructor, but also help steer folx searching for barre classes in the right direction.
