Dear First name / Great Neighbor

Greetings! This week is spring break for city and county schools and last weekend was Eid for our many Muslim neighbors. After a month of fasting for Ramadan, Eid is a wonderful celebration of community and gratitude. Eid Mubarak (blessed feast!) to all who celebrate!

Please make plans to join us on April 18th at 10am for our partner event with Tom Tom Festival! We will be hosting a forum called Welcoming Newcomers: Building Community Through Cultural Connections. Our program will feature a community conversation and panel discussion, highlighting our Great Neighbor Guide program. The event will take place at our office, 224-A 9th Street SW, Charlottesville. Please register at our link below and support the Tom Tom Festival's many free and ticketed events April 16-20.

Finally, we have been fielding many offers of items that might be helpful to our newcomers. For those interested in item collection suggestions, please email our Director of Programs, Becky Bassett. For those wanting to donate clothing or furniture, please donate to our community partners Earlysville Exchange (furniture, household items) and Kid to Kid (children's clothing and shoes). Please let Kid to Kid know the profits from your consignment donation should benefit International Neighbors' customers. Lastly, though in-kind donations and item drives are helpful, the greatest impact is made through a monetary donation. Please consider becoming a monthly donor.

As always, thank you for being a Great Neighbor!
