Dear Chamber Members and Byline Subscribers,

 

We want to inform you of significant changes about our beloved Byline newsletter. Due to resourcing shifts, we are pausing production to reimagine the Chamber's print publication.

 

John Stashik, our long-time editor, designer, contributor, and all-around man-about-town, has recently retired from the role. Under John’s leadership, the Byline expanded beyond Chamber news to encompass engaging content about our community.  

 

With help from writers volunteering time and skill and John’s keen ear to the El Cerrito ground, the newsletter grew to an impressive 8-page, high-quality four-color publication.  We sincerely appreciate John’s decades of dedication to our community, the Chamber, and the Byline.

 

The loss of this key role and unaffordable design, printing and mailing expenses present challenges, but these changes also bring opportunities. The Board will use this time to reimagine our newsletter, considering new content models and delivery methods. 

 

We encourage collaboration from Chamber members and the community, particularly around business news, such as promotional offers, events, local stories, related images, or design and editorial contributions.
