Last month, we officially had our Grand Opening!  Thank you to the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce for hosting our Ribbon Cutting and to all our partners- Boundless Nutrition, Electric Shock Boutique, Tropic Touch, PRTL, Infinite You, Skinchanted, Sundance, Fleetwood Bakery, and Nics Naccs-who participated in our Grand Opening.  
 
Special shout out to Brittany of Piece of Cake who organized both events!
 
We look forward to working with all of you again soon!
 
April Additions and Special Events
 
The Fit Co’s mission is to fit fitness into YOUR life.  We understand that each individual is unique.
 
Recently I was asked; why are we also offering yoga, pilates, sound baths, and recovery such as red light therapy and compression boots?  Why not just focus on efficient fitness like our HIIT and No Sweat classes and personal training? 
 
To be fit, you need to recover.  We need it to perform our best, to stay injury free, to be mentally sound, the list goes on and on.  And! What works for you today may be different than tomorrow.  We need to diversify the process.  
 
Here are some of our April special events that address the recovery side:
 
Yoga for Runners with Chrissy: Starts Tuesday April 8th 6p
At age 47, I have run ten marathons.  I distinctly remember the difference I felt in my body between my first and second marathon.  During the 2007 NYC Marathon, I remember running up one of the rolling hills in Brooklyn I noticed that I felt strong in my core and light in my legs.  At the time, the biggest difference between my training for was I had begun to incorporate yoga on a weekly basis.
 
Since then, I have also noticed the difference between training cycles I have had when I have been more committed to yoga and when not.  I fell into a yoga drought between marathons 5-7 as I was struggling to find the right type of yoga for my needs.  
 
I met Chrissy when I was in the midst of training for marathon number 10.  Chrissy has five marathons under her belt and understood the importance of yoga during her running journey as well.  She and I were determined at soem point to have her teach a Yoga for Runners class.  We are starting it this Tuesday, April 8th at The Fit Co.
 
Note: We are ALSO offering this class livestream and taped! We know as a runner it can be a struggle getting the necessary training runs in as well as yoga. 
 
Mat Pilates with Vanessa Saturday April 12th and 26th 10am
Mat Pilates with Melissa Monday April 7th, 21st and 28th at 930am
