Every book features unique, hand-drawn architectural sketches of two historic homes (including one firehouse) and they're all real places in Boston. Most of them are still standing and the artwork was inspired by original building plans and old photos. Najla Qamber Design brought my hazy vision of “something like a blueprint--but also somehow soft and lovely and atmospheric” to life.
These special editions will go on sale Friday, April 18 from Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon, as well as other spots where you order books online (BAM, Waterstones, etc). I'm not offering these editions from my signed paperback shop at this time as I'm working on a new project and the shop is an all hands on deck fulfillment operation that takes over my home and consciousness.
To celebrate these 10+ years, I've re-published
** Foundations, the treasure trove of extended epilogues, bonus chapters, and other Walsh extra stories with a few short stories I've contributed to charity anthologies in recent years--one featuring Alex and Riley, a chunky one featuring Shannon and Will--along with some holiday stories and other stray chapters. If you need more of the Walsh family, I have 180 pages for you!
