A Night Out That Can Save Lives — Join Us at our Pawsta Party!

 

Tickets for our Pawsta Party Dance & Karaoke Fundraiser are officially on sale and going fast! Whether you're a longtime supporter or new to our community, this is your chance to join us for a night of fun—all while supporting local pets in need.

 

When you buy a ticket to our Pawsta Party, you’re not just signing up for a night of delicious Italian food, dancing, and karaoke—you’re giving animals in our community a fighting chance.

 

Just this past week, Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals was contacted by two different families in urgent need. Both had male cats suffering from urinary obstructions, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate veterinary care. Sadly, even with emergency treatment, one of these beloved pets didn't survive. The other is still fighting, with an uncertain outcome. These are the kinds of emergencies your support helps us respond to on a daily basis.

 

• Provide emergency veterinary funds for critical cases like these

• Offer support to owners who are desperate to save their pets

• Raise awareness about urgent medical conditions and 
how to respond

Sophie’s Story
Sophie, a sweet 10-year-old Cattle Dog, was suffering from a severe and painful ear infection. Her ear was swollen and red, but her owner—currently out of work due to a back injury—couldn’t afford a vet visit and tried home remedies. Unfortunately, Sophie’s condition only worsened.

 

With assistance from Helping Hands, Sophie was seen at Vetco Total Care Clinic, and received a full workup, medications, and is now nearly fully recovered. Her owner tells us Sophie is back to her “bossy, stubborn” self!

 

Luna’s Story
Luna, a 4-year-old mixed breed dog, injured her leg while playing a little too rough with a canine friend and soon became lethargic and clearly uncomfortable. Her owner—a single mom recovering from cancer surgery—knew Luna was in real pain, but she simply couldn’t afford the unexpected cost of an emergency vet visit.

 

Thanks to your support, Luna was seen at the local Veterinary Urgent Care Center for a comprehensive exam and was prescribed an anti-inflammatory. Helping Hands covered the full cost of her visit. After a few weeks of rest, medication, and lots of care from her mom, Luna is now back to taking long walks—and even running again!
