"Hi everyone,
I'm sitting here with a cup of tea, trying to find the right words for something I never thought I'd have to write. After 15 incredible years of building this community together – from those first nervous meetings to watching so many of you find your voice and power – WEvolution as we know it is coming to an end.
The funding world has changed so much. Despite trying everything we could think of (and trust me, we've tried it all), the money simply isn't there anymore to keep our doors open beyond January 2026.
Some of you have been here since the very beginning. We've shared celebrations, struggles, cups of tea, and those moments where someone's face lights up when they realise "I can actually do this." Those moments changed me too.
But here's what I refuse to believe: that this is truly the end.
Remember when we first started, how we said this was about us, not just some charity? That spirit hasn't changed. While WEvolution the Charity has to close, what we've built together – the friendships, the confidence, all those skills we never knew we had – that doesn't disappear.
From January 2026, our online platform will transition into community hands. YOUR hands. The details? We're going to figure those out together, because that's what we've always done.
I'm asking those of you who feel ready: help us imagine what comes next. What parts of our community matter most to preserve? What could this look like when it's powered entirely by its members? Your voice in this conversation means everything.
This isn't a path any of us have walked before. We'll need to be creative, honest about the challenges, and kind to each other as we figure it out. But if there's one thing I know about this community, it's that we're at our best when things get tough.
All your questions, worries, ideas, even your anger or sadness – bring it all. This transition deserves our full hearts and honest conversation.
Fifteen years ago, most of us couldn't have imagined what we'd build together. Now, I'm choosing to believe that something beautiful can grow from this difficult moment too.
