You and I both know that rest doesn't have to mean sleep. Yes, sleep is a hot topic in this season of life. BUT you can find plenty of rest during your awake hours even if you experience a night of disrupted sleep.
 
Have you ever considered what rest looks and feels like for you, First name / my friend?
 
In midlife and beyond, your definition of ‘rest’ is probably different than it was 5-10 years ago. This is your chance to explore and identify what helps you feel rested in body and mind.
 
Here are five prompts to help you discover your ideal version of rest:
  • When I hear the word ‘rest’ this comes to mind…
  • What activities feel restorative to me?
  • When do I feel most like my peace-filled, stress-free self?
  • If I had 8 hours to myself, I’d spend it…
  • Close your eyes and imagine your ultimate vision of rest. Now write as many details as you can about this vision.
What have you learned by answering these prompts? Keep these learnings in mind as you move through the next week.
