First name / friend!
happiest holy week to you and your loved ones! this is the first year i've participated in lent and it has been a wonderful experience. i'd love to hear your experience(s) if you've also participated in lent.

tonight we'll watch part 3 of the chosen's season 5 in theaters. spending an evening each week with the family pondering new ways to look at christ's final ministry week before his crucifixion and resurrection has been so extremely meaningful - an easter to remember!
have you been in to four lemons yet?! there's truly no place like it!!

this week and next, the utah art market has their spring market in bloom (4840 s highland dr, holladay ut) - so many wonderful creatives in one place!

i've been working on some floral pieces just for nanette and you can find them in her four lemons gallery in holladay and online

i wanted to depict flowers and birds that are symbols of christ's resurrection and found some beautiful songs to accompany them. the intention was to be able to have reminders of christ's ultimate sacrifice, his infinite atonement, and resurrection displayed in our homes all year round that are like hidden treasures…only you and i know their deep symbolism ;). may they bring so much peace and love to you today and in your homes.

nanette has a whole display of spiritual artwork for the easter season. enjoy!!
"precious jesus" 8" oil on wood (closer to 14" framed), song by leigh nash
risen from the grave
christ immortal risen from the grace
at jerusalem's gate how you wept for the lost
even as palm branches waved
then you rose up on the third day
so all who believe might be saved, yes
and we remember you
precious jesus, we remember you
jesus, we love you
precious jesus we love you
healer of our hearts
lover of our souls
symbols of our redeemer's resurrection, may these tulips and hummingbirds remind us of christ all year long. our precious jesus.

"with every breath" 9.75" oil on wood (closer to 16" framed), song by leigh nash
allellua from the heavens
allellua in the heights above the earth
allellua all his angels
allellua for the last will be first
let everything that has breath praise the lord
may the words from this beautiful song fill our hearts and minds all year long. may the truths of easter and our lord's infinite atonement give you strength and healing. both daffodils and blue birds are symbols of resurrection. may they point us to him, our great redeemer all year long.
"savior, like a shepherd lead us (blessed jesus) 12" oil on wood
(closer to 18" framed), song by leigh nash
savior, like a shepherd lead us
much we need thy tender care
in thy pleasant pastures feed us
for our use thy folds prepare
blessed Jesus, blessed jesus
we will early turn to thee
peacocks not only represent royalty and divinity, but also christ's resurrection and a reminder of all that we can become when we seek him. cherry blossoms are also a symbol of christ's resurrection blooming and singing allelujah to him this season. may these symbols remind you of christ's sacrifice and atonement all year long.

"que sera sera 22" oil on wood (framed it's closer to 30"), named after the bria skonberg song
whatever will be, will be. "que sera, sera." the theme of this piece is the process of becoming our true authentic self. to allow ourselves to develop our true and full potential. to ignore the "shoulds, and "should-nots" and to embrace our true selves. the blue heron represents self determination, self-reliance. the orchids symbolize faith and new beginnings. Eucalyptus represent purity and cleansing. protea bloom in difficult circumstances. Almond blossoms represent hope. the summer tanager birds symbolize passion, creativity, vitality and authenticity. the bird bath is a representation of resurrection and rebirth.
