Words cannot express how grateful I am to have you on my list
—welcome, friend.
Hey there & welcome to my monthly newsletter where I throw in a dash of realness, a pinch of humor, a smidgeon of resources, and a touch of health tips to educate, inspire, and empower you on your wellness journey.
In The Kitchen
A few years ago, I realized I was swimming upstream alongside a health system that's more invested in managing disease than actually promoting true wellness. I was done, and needed to find my way back to my original calling—helping people who want to live this life well. It is my belief that health isn't just the absence of disease, but the presence of vitality and the ability to truly flourish—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I'm grateful to be on this new journey, contributing to a world where people are empowered with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to take a proactive approach to their well-being.
This week, we were in the kitchen doing just that. My clients (and dear friends) asked for some inspiration in planning and preparing more nutrient-focused snacks and meals to ensure they were properly fueling their adventures now and in the years to come. After a couple down and dirty “nutrition optimizing” sessions and a pantry re-do, we celebrated by making a downright freaking delicious mussels with curry! Moments like these continue to gift me a renewed sense of purpose and a stronger determination to keep forging ahead on this path. Thank you for sharing in this journey with me (and LMK if you want that recipe!)
Master Your Lifestyle
Workshop
join us
Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to share a couple of hours with an amazing group of women at NuPower Yoga & Barre where I hosted a workshop on how to master your lifestyle to achieve optimal health & longevity. We did a deep-dive into understanding the impact our nutritional choices have on our metabolic health and how a few small tweaks in our daily habits can increase energy, kick stubborn weight, & potentially stave off disease.
Are you in the 6.8% of Americans that have optimal cardiometabolic health? It may be the single most important thing you can know. I can help you find out.
Get Outside
Did you know that moving from a sedentary lifestyle (not exercising/less than 4,000 steps per day) to a brisk walk for 2-3 hours per week can have an enormous impact on your health & longevity? It's been shown to decrease mortality risk by 50% in some cases. Just start moving more. Take your coffee/lunch outside and walk the 'hood for 10 minutes a few times per day. Add a weighted vest for bonus points. Bring a friend to strengthen your community. Work your way to 10,000 steps per day.
Your daily habits have the single biggest impact on your health.
