The recent election has brought new urgency to the fight for health equity, but at Doctors for America, we’ve never backed down from a challenge. Our roots trace back to 2008 when we emerged in the midst of a hard-fought battle for health care reform. We’ve spent the last 17 years defending the Affordable Care Act and expanding our advocacy to include reproductive justice, gun violence prevention, Medicaid expansion, and more. In 2024, our members continued to lead with both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to justice—shaping narratives, building movements, and driving policy change at every level of government. As we reflect on all we’ve accomplished together, we invite you to explore our Annual Impact Report and celebrate the power of this community.

In this presentation, Dr. Paul Offit and Dr. Judith O’Donnell will provide physician advocates with a comprehensive understanding of the current vaccine landscape. They will discuss the scientific foundation of vaccines, strategies for combating misinformation, and the role physicians can play in preserving public trust in vaccination programs. As political polarization intensifies, it is essential for healthcare professionals to actively engage in advocacy, educate patients, and ensure that sound science remains at the forefront of vaccine decision-making.

This meeting aims to inform and mobilize both current and prospective DFA members by highlighting the urgent challenges facing our health care system—particularly efforts to cut and dismantle vital health infrastructure. We’ll showcase the inspiring work happening across DFA’s Impact Areas to protect health, science, and equity—and share meaningful ways you can lend your expertise to help strengthen our movement.
