Hey First name / friend!

It’s been a busy travel month for me—and for many of you. If I didn’t have a hand in your recent adventures, I hope they were everything you needed and more.

On my end, I’ve been deep in managing client trips and strengthening partnerships, with visits to London, a few stops in Amsterdam, and now, time spent discovering Belgium. April is often a lighter planning month (you’ve been on the move!), but May tends to bring a shift as fall travel starts taking shape. If something’s on your mind, now’s a great time to reach out.

I’m writing this from the courtyard garden of a former monastery–turned–five-star hotel in Antwerp. I was invited—along with two other Europe-based advisors—to experience both the hotel and the city, and I’m already excited by what I’m uncovering. Follow along on Instagram for real-time glimpses, and keep an eye out for an Antwerp guide landing in your inbox soon.

As always, if you’re considering a quick escape or a far-flung dream, I’m just a message away. Consults are always complimentary and pressure-free. And don’t forget to scroll to the end for one of the best promos I’ve shared—just a few days left to grab it.

Big hugs,
đź–¤ Katy

P.S. While we may earn a commission from links contained in this letter, every product and supplier we endorse, we truly love.

..If you're traveling to Rome this spring.

Rome is always a city of layers—of history, beauty, and belief—but this spring, it becomes a city in mourning, reflection, and transition. With the passing of Pope Francis and the Conclave to elect a new Pope, visitors can expect a deeply meaningful atmosphere—and a few logistical changes.

If you're heading to Rome between now and May 20, here’s what to keep in mind:
  • Starting April 28, the Sistine Chapel will be closed for the duration of the Conclave. The rest of the Vatican Museums—including the Raphael Rooms and Borgia Apartments—will remain open.
  • The Basilica of Saint Mary Major may experience closures or restricted access.
  • Expect heightened security, large crowds, and traffic disruptions, especially near Vatican City.
Though this is a time of mourning—particularly poignant during the Jubilee Year Pope Francis initiated—it is also a period of immense historical significance. The Conclave, held in total seclusion, ends when white smoke rises from the Sistine Chapel, signaling that a new Pope has been chosen. Until then, black smoke indicates voting continues.

For those visiting now, it’s a rare and powerful time to witness living history unfold at the heart of the Catholic world.
