Welcome back to the At Work Tune Up, yourinsider’s playbook with practical, quick, tips on how to improve your team dynamics and keep things happy and healthy at work.
We spend a lot of time at work. We should love what we do.
This week's tip for your toolbox:
Clarity is more important than certainty.
The perfect conditions are rarely going to align for the next strategy, next phase, or the next program. If you are waiting for “things to settle” or for a certain direction to become clear, you may be waiting a long time. And by the time one area settles, something else has become muddled.
Waiting around for certainty means missing important opportunities to move things forward.
My tip for you this week is to choose one clear area of focus, and get moving to make things happen.

Get to work
We've talked before about how important it is to choose one goal and be consistent with doing whatever needs to be true to achieve it.
I have recommended using this worksheet to identify what your goals are. In the face of uncercainty (markets, impact of government policies, staffing retention. I could go on and on), go for clarity. If everyone is aligned on the goal, you will have that clarity that you need.
Choose one action that will help drive success and keep at it. Keep moving. You won't be sorry that you took action.
