Please plan ahead, UPCOMING CLOSURE
The Casa Grande Public Library, Main Branch, will be CLOSED Saturday, May 17th through Saturday, May 24th for a major carpet replacement. The Vista Grande Library will continue to be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 9a.m.-5 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Learn the basics of your iPad/iPhone during our Technology Class, Beginning iPad/iPhone. Held at the Main Library, 449 N. Drylake Street, on May 15th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. No registration required. Let your friends and family know that are not on Facebook!

Come to the Vista Grande library for monthly gardening tips on Saturday, May 10th from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This month's topic: Cover Crops. The presentations are given by University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners. Check out our seed library at both locations as well!

Join us on May 10th from @ 2:00 p.m. for our Family Movie and Coloring Activity held at the Main Library, 449 N. Drylake St. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult. Light snacks and drinks with screw top lids are allowed.

Join us on May 15th at the Vista Grande Library from 10:00-11:30 a.m. for our monthly crafting class and create something fun and unique! This month  you will be learning a simple basket weaving method. Registration is available, but not required.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge! Parents and kids, are you up for it? Here's how to sign up! 
1. Parents need to download the app, Beanstack Tracker 
2. Click on Find your school or library, then search for City of Casa Grande Public Library 
3. Click on Sign Up to create an account. 
4. Then select which library you typically use: Main or Vista Grande Library 
5. Finally, add readers (the children).
 **This reading challenge is for children between the ages of 0-5**
 When you complete your challenge, come to the library and get a Certificate of Completion and your picture taken!

Did you know both library locations have study rooms that you can reserve? Study Rooms can be reserved for up to two hours per day. You can reserve online, by phone, or in person.

Doing a little spring cleaning? The Friends of the Casa Grande Public Library are looking for donations! You can drop off your smaller donations to either library,
The Main Library at 449 N. Drylake Street or
The Vista Grande Library at 1556 N. Arizola Rd anytime during regular business hours. For larger donations please call ahead, 520-421-8710, to make arrangements. 

We Need You!
The Mayors Reading Club is looking for volunteers for just one hour a month to read to local K-3 classrooms!
 

Volunteers needed.
Volunteers needed! The Central Lutheran Church Adult Community Education (ACE) Team offers general education tutoring and English as a second language (ESL) coaching. Volunteers work one-on-one or with small groups once or twice a week to help participants achieve personal development goals. If you would like to serve on the ACE Team, complete the VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM available here:
