It may not *officially* be summer yet, but last week's fan palm #CreateWithCatCoq challenge has me feeling all the tropical summer vibes!

 

That, and I have some very fun, summery new collabs happening! 

 

I just came home to Kansas City for a brief pit stop on my way to Europe, and I've been busy unpacking product samples that my brother and sis-in-law have been storing for me for the past couple months. (thanks, guys! 🫶🏼)

 

It's been so fun to see the collaborations I've been working on for months come to life on real products!

 

Here are a couple of the collabs that are in stores now! I just launched a collection of beach towels that are available at Sam's Club, and cute, summery tumblers available at Belk stores!

 

Let's keep up the tropical momentum this week with a hibiscus drawing challenge! 

 

Did you know that tropical motifs are actually popular year-round? They're a pretty evergreen trend, which is why you'll find my portfolio full of tropical greenery and flowers.

 

Here are a few of the hibiscus flowers I've illustrated over the years.

 

1. Use the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq in your caption

 

2. Tag me (@catcoq) in the actual photo — not just the caption. 

 

Tagging me in the image itself makes it way easier for me to find your artwork, especially since Instagram doesn’t always show hashtag posts in order anymore. This will help me see your post so I can share your work on my Instagram Stories and in this newsletter!
