We are thrilled to share the opening of
The Secret Garden at Britepaths, a welcoming in-office book nook where children of client families can browse and take home new and like-new books to start or build their personal libraries. This free resource officially opened on June 18 with a ribbon cutting celebration joined by community supporters, staff, and the families we serve. Our guest speaker
Kimberly Reinhard, Immediate Past President of the
Northern Virginia Association for the Education of Young Children, helped us mark the moment, and children of the clients who were able to attend excitedly became the first to pick out their books. A heartfelt thank you to
Board Member Gabe Derosier and his colleagues at
Main Street Bank, who filled a wagon with book donations to help us launch this initiative. For many of our families, books can feel like a luxury. The Secret Garden helps close that gap by providing free access to a diversity of books supporting literacy development, building confidence, and sparking curiosity.
