Hi friends, Â I want to share my gratitude for an awesome week. May has always been a month of leaps, and this one is no different. I am proud to share that in the first 10 days: - I launched the 5th podcast episode for this season, which covered chapter 5 of the book How to Change. This is one of my favorite chapters because it revealed a new study about habits!
- I conducted âBuild your Habits, Change your Lifeâ Training for a fantastic group of employees. Doing that podcast episode was the best way to prepare for this training. One insight that stuck with me is from a participant who said: âWhen I logged my daily habits I discovered there were none for me!â All her habits were for her children, home, and work. She promised me she would go back to reading, a habit she loves and misses. After the training I shared  this episode with her, which I hope will also help you read again or read more.
- On Saturday morning, I hosted the 5th meeting with my private goals group (All Year Goals) with 8 incredible women (3 more will attend the recording). In the 120 minutes on Zoom, we shared our wins and lessons from the past 4 weeks and our goals until our next meeting. It was the perfect start to a beautiful Saturday.
- Later that day, I gave a 15-minute speech to a group of expecting mothers at one of the best-organized events I attended (Moms Masterclass with Dr. Rula Qatami). My speech was titled: âSelf-care is not a manicure appointment.â This topic touched the hearts of women in the event, you can learn more about it by listening to this podcast episode I created and see related Instagram posts using this one hashtag.
- I started a journey of 1-1 coaching with a dream client; yes, Iâm talking about you! You know yourself đ I canât wait for our first coaching call. (If you are interested in being coached by me, reply to this email to book a free 30-minute discovery call).
Iâm sharing this to say: If I can do it, so can you. A friend recently noticed my momentum and said: âYou are on a roll!â and I replied: âItâs time to shineâ.  There is no point hiding that light, is there? |

P.S. Letâs chat if you are considering hiring me to talk to your team about the science of goal setting, building habits, mastering focus to improve performance and time management, or beating burnout. Reply to this email, and we can start from there. |

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark âĄď¸a newsletter listing 3 sparks that I thought were worth starting your week with. It's the quotes edition; 3 quotes from 3 books I read and loved: |
|
 1. âď¸ "Donât ever be afraid to shine. The sun isnât, and it rises brightly every day. Imagine what owning your light in the same way could do for you." |
|
2. đ " When we love ourselves, we naturally shine, we are naturally beautiful. And that draws others to us. Before we know it, theyâre loving us and itâs up to us to choose who to share our love with."Â â Kamal Ravikant, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It |
|
3. ⨠Shining as a public speaking strategy: |
|
"Shining differs from every other public speaking strategy because it requires the willing participation of another person. You canât shine alone; you canât shine with someone whoâs looking down at their phone; youâre only shining if they feel you shine. And they want to feel you shine because it makes them feel more alive. As the performer youâll feel this way tooâsimultaneously connected and vulnerable and powerful. As youâre reaching out with your attention, youâre also opening up to let theirs in. This is how you do it. Lock your gaze on one person in the audience and open your heart as you speak to them and only them. Offer this person the gift of your focused energy until they feel the connection between you. The message youâre sending is Here I am. Here you are. Here we are, together. Hello. The energy being exchanged is something like love. Or maybe thatâs exactly what it is (âŚ) The audience is like a string of fairy lights with only a few bulbs glowing. When you shine with the person whose attention is wandering, the whole string suddenly lights up. Faces glow, eyes brighten, everyone feels it. Charisma is all about connection." |
