OBJECTIVE
A huge list means nothing if no one’s opening your emails. So, let’s talk about improving your results!
TIPS
1. Send regularly
→ Aim for at least once a week to stay top of mind.
→ This improves your deliverability (aka: gets you out of spam).
2. Write like a human
→ Do not rely on GPT bots to connect with your people
→ Make your subject lines interesting — don’t give the whole thing away.
→ Your pre-header (that little text preview) is gold — use it.
→ Use open loops like:
“I wasn’t going to send this…”
“This changed everything — for real.”
3. Track the basics
→ Open Rate: Aim for 30–40%
→ Click Rate: 2–5% is solid
→ If people aren’t clicking, your CTA might be unclear
→ If people aren’t opening, your subject line might be boring
4. Organise with segments
→ Create a segment called: “Engaged Subscribers”
→ Tag anyone who’s opened 2+ emails in the last 30 days.
This lets you know who’s paying attention — and that’s who you should write to more often.
TASK
Self Audit your Emails! Check in on your last 1–2 emails and follow the prompts below
→ What was the open rate?
→ Did anyone click the link?
