RTD Round-Up 08 \ June 2025 |

Hi First name / Friends, This past month, RTD took to the Colorado Rockies for a design refresh that was as inspiring as the landscape itself. One of our longtime clients invited us back to their beloved mountain retreat in Crested Butte—a home perched just above a sparkling alpine lake, with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks from nearly every window. Though the project was a partial update, the transformation was anything but minor. We reimagined key living spaces—entryways, the dining room, living room, and bedrooms—infusing each with fresh energy and a more layered, collected feel. Crisp new bedding and linens were paired with textiles in earthy hues, soft furnishings were updated to complement the natural tones of the mountain surroundings, and we added thoughtful design touches to ensure the home reflects both its setting and the family’s personality. This retreat serves as an escape from the Texas heat, and it was important to us that it feel elevated, serene, and effortlessly cozy—like the mountain version of a deep exhale. We had such fun with this one. And when time allowed, we snuck in a few hikes around the lake—just one of the many perks of designing in such a magical place. We can’t wait to share more glimpses from this special project soon. Warmly, |

When it comes to bedding, our founder Leslie Phillips-Greco has a true gift. Layering a bed is more than just a finishing touch—it’s an art form. With a sharp eye for texture, color, and composition, Leslie treats every bed as a centerpiece, thoughtfully curating everything from crisp sheets and luxurious duvets to colorful quilts, throws, and custom pillows. Fresh linens are a signature element in nearly every RTD project, and no detail is left untouched—from the perfect tuck to the trim on a bolster. The end result is a bed so inviting, it practically begs to be admired (and makes it a little hard to peel back the covers and disturb the beauty!). It's one of the ways we bring comfort and personality into a space, and something our clients consistently fall in love with. |

Here’s a peek inside the dining room of our Crested Butte Mountain Retreat project. This space is where the family gathers, shares meals, and takes in the serene alpine surroundings. We customized each dining chair with a mix of tailored fabrics for an eclectic yet refined look that adds depth and character. Above, a set of antique pottery pieces—sourced from Round Top—anchor the wall and inspire the rich, earthy palette throughout the room. The layered artwork brings a storybook quality to the space and complements the ceramics beautifully. And while the room is grounded in rustic charm, the sculptural light fixture introduces a modern note that elevates the entire setting—making it feel like Colorado High Country, reimagined. |
