From newborn wildlife to blooming flowers, June offers plenty of opportunities to connect with nature! In early June, beaver kits are born, while Mountain Laurel—Connecticut’s state flower!— and Beach Roses bloom. Baltimore Oriole, Scarlet Tanager, and Eastern Bluebird chicks hatch. Around mid-month, the Full Strawberry Moon coincides with strawberry harvests, and turtles roam land to nest. Watch for them crossing roads!
