Hi First name / Slothies!
I recently had a discovery call with someone exploring marketing strategy support—and she was so honest about feeling confused about what she really needed. Strategy? Tactics? Something else entirely?
I don’t blame her. A lot of my clients aren’t fluent in “marketing speak,” and honestly… I make up my own terms half the time anyway. 😂
So let’s break it down simply:
Strategy is the destination. Tactics are the packing list and travel itinerary.
Put another way?
👉 Strategy is your direction. It’s the big-picture “what” and “why.”
Example: “Soft launch our next offer to our most engaged audience to build a new community around our brand.”
👉 Tactics are the step-by-step actions that bring that vision to life. Think: what platform you’re using, what emails you’re sending and when, and how you’re setting up the system to support it. More importantly how will we know that what were doing is successful.
You can’t outsource well or execute efficiently without both. And without clarity, you’re back in the land of burnout and busywork.
So if marketing still feels foggy, don’t miss this week’s blog—it breaks down what to ask for the next time you’re hiring support, whether that’s from me or someone else.
You don’t need to do more.
You just need the right support, the right systems, and a little space to think clearly again.
And that’s what we’re here for.
Rooting for you always,
Renee 🦥
