Sizzlin' into Summer, Startup Style Summer is here and we’re soaking up the sunshine and the entrepreneurial wins! As we hit the halfway mark of 2025, it’s the perfect moment to celebrate the bold ideas, fresh starts, and big milestones that have defined our year so far. From new ventures to powerful connections, the Startup Tucson community has been on fire and we’re just getting started. So throw on those shades, take a scroll, and let’s rewind the highlight reel together! |

Highlight 1: EntrepreNEW Year's Party! |
We rang in the new year the only way entrepreneurs know how, with big energy and even bigger dance moves. Our EntrepreNEW Year’s party with Community Investment Corporation was all about good music, great people, and kicking off 2025 with some serious celebration. Anyone who was there knows it was something special. If you missed it… mark your calendar now → January 9, 2026 is already locked in for the next one. |

Highlight 2: SIPS A Startup Social |
This year, we started a new tradition with SIPS: A Startup Social, with our first two meetups debuting at the Mercado San Agustin. These morning gatherings were all about grabbing a coffee, chatting about our businesses, and connecting in a super chill way. We kicked things off on February 13th, then came back for round two on April 24th. If you missed it, don’t worry. More are on the way (just keep scrolling!!), and while we’re mixing up the locations, the vibe will stay just as good. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it! |

Highlight 3: TENWEST Festival |
TENWEST hit double digits this year, so we knew we had to do something big, and honestly, it was kind of magic. Instead of keeping everything in one spot, we let the festival spill out into downtown Tucson. Multiple venues, different vibes, and nonstop moments to bump into new ideas and new people. It felt less like a conference and more like a choose your own adventure through Tucson’s creative and entrepreneurial scene. From Guy Raz dropping wisdom on stage, to Reggie Watts cracking everyone up at 191 Toole, to the energy at IdeaFunding, the whole week had this electric mix of inspiration and real connection. It was one of those events where you left with a full notebook and an even fuller heart. If you were there, you know. And if not, you have got to catch it next time. |
Highlight 4: Startup Fundamentals |
Startup Fundamentals brought together entrepreneurs eager to unlock the essentials of launching their own businesses and the day was full of those satisfying “aha!” moments that make everything click. From practical tips to fresh perspectives, participants left with the confidence and clarity to take the next step on their startup journey. If you weren’t able to join this time, don’t worry. We’ll be back with more opportunities to learn, connect, and grow. |
Highlight 5: Celebrating BIPOC Entrepreneurs Day! |
On May 22nd, we brought Startup Drinks back with a special edition in partnership with Community Investment Corporation to honor BIPOC Entrepreneurs Day. The evening celebrated the founders, dreamers, and doers who keep Tucson’s business scene thriving. Recognized by the City of Tucson, Pima County, and the State of Arizona, BIPOC Entrepreneurs Day highlights the vital contributions of BIPOC-owned businesses during National Small Business Week. As proud supporters of the BIPOC Loan Fund, the event delivered good vibes, meaningful conversations, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, and local champions. |
