Hi First name / there,
Happy weekend!

Thank you to everyone who responded to my last email. I was so encouraged.

Some of you asked to see a photo of me. Here's one my daughter took of me and my husband a few weeks ago among the tulips in London.

It's a new season, with my four children away from home. I've started a diploma course to become a health coach, an area I've had increasing interest in over the last few years. (In the future, I'd love to be able to help people cultivate ‘whole health’: body, mind and spirit.) I still work part-time for my local church overseeing the youth and children's ministry. And now God is also leading me back into online ministry - writing these emails to you, and creating content to help women (and the few lovely men who follow along) go deeper with God and hear his voice.

It may seem a lot. There are many times in my life I've said ‘No’ to things! This time I feel God is telling me he has new capacity for me. The words God gave me at the beginning of the year were ‘productivity’ and ‘fruitfulness’, and that is exactly what I'm experiencing! And I'm loving the space, the peace, and the rest that's coming with it too.

I've been encouraged reading the story of Solomon recently. Did you know that as well as ruling the whole of Israel and overseeing the construction of the temple, he did the following?

He composed some 3,000 proverbs and wrote 1,005 songs. He could speak with authority about all kinds of plants, from the great cedar of Lebanon to the tiny hyssop that grows from cracks in a wall. He could also speak about animals, birds, small creatures, and fish. And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon. 1 Kings 4:32-34

I love that with God it's possible to lead AND create AND learn. God gives capacity for what he's called us to. Please pray for me as I pursue all these endeavours. I want to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, keep ‘doing’ from a place of rest, and be filled with God's wisdom.

I'm grateful to God. I've experienced tough times the last two years: teeth and health issues, difficult and emotional situations, and our beautiful dog being very sick and sadly passing away. But God has brought me through.

Three things God spoke to me that helped me shift my thinking in the tough times, and I believe helped me come into this new season of rest and fruitfulness are:

I made short 6 minute videos on each of these over a year ago when God first spoke them to me. I'd love to share them with you now. You'll find them on my You Tube channel. You are the very first I'm sharing my channel with :)

I pray what God spoke to me ministers to you. You may be facing challenges right now; you may be emotionally and physically exhausted and not sure where to turn; you may be thriving and experiencing rest and fruitfulness; or a mix of these things. (They're not mutually exclusive. We can know God's rest and peace even in the challenges.)

Wherever you're at, I pray God touches your heart afresh with his love, brings peace to your mind, and grows you in knowing just how much he cares for you. I pray wide open spaces of rest and fruitfulness for you.

I'd love to hear from you. Reply to let me know how I can pray for you, or something God speaks to you from this email or from one of my videos.

Much blessing and love,

Jo xxx
