In Reynosa, Jose continued to ensure access to clean water through regular WASH system maintenance – this includes water delivery, tank cleaning, and water quality testing.
In Tapachula, Dison prioritized urgent water system repairs, including new pumps and foundations, while distributing hygiene supplies like diapers.
How Does Solidarity Build a Period-Friendly World?
In Tapachula, Antonia led distributions of essential menstrual supplies to women in shelters. After many conversations to understand their most urgent needs, we provided umbrellas, hygiene supplies, and underwear, and more.
In Reynosa, Pepe prepared 45 hygiene kits for a maternal and newborn hospital, ensuring new mothers and their babies are met with care and basic dignity.
⚖️ After much debate, Texas legislation SJR1 was defeated– a major win for due process and immigrant rights in Texas. Solidarity Engineering joined partners across the country in opposing this harmful amendment, which would have denied bail based on broad definitions of immigration status.
