This weeks missive is best read with your 2026/2027 calendar handy  because I am calling out the three biggest upcoming travel seasons and my ideas for each.

Some housekeeping:  We are moving  this week, so my availability is very limited.  Call if you need me.

I should be up and running in my new office by January 19th.

Holidays Away

THE BEST KIND OF GIFT

If you haven't started planning your holiday getaway, let this serve as first call.

The holiday season will be here AGAIN before we know it, and in the blink of an eye, all festive availability will be gone.

Hoping to leave the madness behind in favor of a holiday away from home? Some ideas for the festive traveler:

A Holiday In Europe: London

           Highlights:  Read my London newsletter!
Activities: Ice skating, chocolate tasting, festive shopping.
Booking Timeline:  this one can wait, but no later than June

A Holiday Under The Sun: Dominican Republic
  • Highlights:  beaches, luxury Villas and resorts, clear turquoise waters.
  • Activities: Snorkeling, horseback riding, golf, and relaxing on the beach.
  • Booking Timeline: Confirming your arrangements by April is going to be essential for securing the details of your beachfront holiday.  Earlier if you want a private villa.
An Exotic Holiday Away: Thailand
  • Highlights: Vibrant cities like Bangkok, beautiful beaches in Phuket, rich culture and history.
  • Activities: Temple visits, island hopping, street food tours.
  • Booking Timeline: Because December is prime time to visit , it's imperative that you begin securing details before you finish reading this sentence.
Spring Break

UNDER-THE-RADAR OPTIONS

The Little Mermaid may have sang “I want to be where the people are”  but for Spring Break? We're guessing Ariel would change her tune if she saw how crowded the go-to destinations for Spring Break vacations can get.

For those of you on the hunt for a not-so-popular Spring Break getaway, here are some options ️

Springtime In Europe: Amsterdam
  • Highlights: Canal cruises, world-class museums, tulips.
  • Activities: Biking tours, Keukenhof Gardens, exploring the Van Gogh Museum.
  • Booking Timeline: The sooner the better
Elsewhere In The Caribbean: Anguilla
  • Highlights: Beautiful beaches, luxury hotels
  • Activities: Snorkeling, diving, exploring, sailing
  • Booking Timeline: It's not as popular (yet) for Spring Break, but planning ahead allows for more flexibility in choosing the best hotels, villas, activities and more. Confirm this trip now.
Spring Break Blooms: Japan 2027
  • Highlights: Tokyo’s bustling streets, Kyoto’s temples, cherry blossom season.
  • Activities: Visiting temples, enjoying spring festivals, experiencing Japanese cuisine.
  • Booking Timeline: OK, this one is not under the radar. Japan has been a hot destination, and thinking about visiting during Cherry Blossom season?  Incredibly, it is likely too late, but we can plan for 2027. If we start this spring.
Summer 2026

A JET SET SUMMER
Image item
“Next summer?! I can't even think about it!”  And that's fair… for the average person. I am always thinking a few seasons ahead because of demand, availability, and ever-evolving trends.

I did not put the typical summer recommendations on this list, because let's be real: the Amalfi Coast is an obvious summer contender. Instead, consider these alternative options for your summer itineraries ️

A European Summer: Lake Garda, Italy
  • Highlights: Scenic lake views, luxurious villas, charming villages.
  • Activities: Boat tours, exploring historic sites,  Italian food.
  • Booking Timeline: Italy continues to reign supreme as a summer destination, so booking as early as possible is key, but plan to confirm now.  Boutique luxury properties will have limited avialablity.
Sun & Sand Summer: Bermuda
  • Highlights: Pink sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, historic forts.
  • Activities: Snorkeling, diving, exploring St. George’s and Hamilton.
  • Booking Timeline: Start the planning process ASAP to take advantage of  best availability of hotels and flights.
Safari Getaway: Kenya
  • Highlights: Diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, a change your life experience
  • Activities: game drives, riding on horse back, walking, hot air ballooning
  • Booking Timeline: Events like the Migration ( late summer) significantly increases demand and pricing for travel to Africa. And I am not a fan of the migration anyway, so lets look at June or September if you are hot to go in summer.
  •  Planning an African safari itinerary is complex and requires advance preparation, so start  right now.
  • Check out the link below to our September 2026 Group Safari  for some inspo, we have a waitlist.
