How do you turn something as common as a leaf into a canvas for creative expression? Check out the amazing work of Lito Leaf Art - a leaf–cutting artist! 🌿

Last year, I took an online “art of miniatures” class from artist Amanda Kelly. The experience reminded me that it's perfectly okay to create and love miniature dioramas, even as an adult. You can learn about her tiny worlds here. 🏠

Thanks to a unique collaboration with the Muséum de Toulouse in France, over 50 reproductions of iconic American artist Charley Harper’s work are on display in my hometown of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, USA. The exhibition is free and open to the public through September 15, so stop by if you’re in the area. All the details are online at Project412mn.org/Charley-Harper.

Artsy project Updates

 

Wicked Plant Art Journal - I am so close to having this available to purchase on Amazon. I've encountered a few major roadblocks with the digital file, but I think those are resolved. (Who knew that Adobe InDesign isn't able to create inside bleeds on a two-page spread without a custom script?) The final physical proof should arrive in my mailbox on Monday. Meanwhile, here are some sample pages to give you a feel for the content. 🌿
