Throughout the month, I collect different stories, podcasts, articles, etc. that I think you might like and share them with you. For May, the shares are loosely centered around nature--I've been trying to find my rhythm and routine in a new space and new chapter and exploring the outdoors has felt healing and good. I hope there are a few things below that connect, inspire, or bring you a little wonder and joy.

MAY SHARES
  • National Parks Check Box Tee It's amazing how motivating checking off a box / completing a list is for me lol This is my new fave tee and goal! (Also a portion of proceeds goes to help protect and preserve our parklands!) I am using this grey Marvy Uchida fabric pen (you can find more sizes and colors on Amazon and their website) to fill in the circles. I am looking for a state version of this now… (Amazon affiliate links are for items I use and love and I may earn a small commission if you purchase from them.)
  • Olympic National Park Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, and Hoh Rainforest were all beautiful and unique in their own way--I highly recommend visiting! My favorite was seeing an elk walk right by the car!
  • Search for Trolls I've shared this before but wanted to share again since some new trolls have been built since! These are giant sculptures made from recycled materials created by artist Thomas Dambo. You can find them all over the world! Check the troll map to see if there's one near you.
  • Look for Gnomes in Maple Valley, WA This is an easy and whimsical trail with gnomes dotting the way--in fallen tree crevices, hanging from branches, all over! You can also leave your own gnomes which I went back to do this time. If you're not in WA, maybe you can find something similar near you. (Below is a pic of mine--if you're there, see if you can find it! :)) Thank you Bao for this rec!
  • Hydrate With the days getting longer and warmer, I'm trying to make sure I drink more water which can be challenging sometimes! I've been adding Trader Joe's 100% ginger powder (no sugar added) to mix things up a little and have been enjoying it! I also like it in hot water as a tea. Thank you Susan for turning me on to this!
  • Listen to the City Arts & Lecture podcast's episode with Ada Limon, the current US Poet Laureate. It was funny, interesting, insightful, and beautiful. Thank you Ellen for this rec!
  • Watch Season 2 of The Last of Us I loved this acoustic version of Take On Me that was used in the show.

And a few shares from me :)
  • Brush Letter w/Markers Workshop video is coming soon!
  • Join me for a Social Media Summer Break this July! It'll be a free 3 week do-what-works-for-you type of challenge and I'll be hosting a mini version of a section-a-day art project and sharing more ideas and motivation via email. More details to come, sign up if you're interested in learning more!
  • Summer Snail Mail Swap is an activity I'll be sharing for the Social Media Summer Break and it'll also be open to anyone who'd like to participate!
  • I have 8 days left of my 100 Day Project! Congrats to all who are nearing / have reached day 100!!! (Here's a recap of my first 25 days which feels so long ago!)
  • The Creative Spark Deck is back in stock! Thank you to each person who has purchased one, it means a lot to me and I appreciate your support!

I hope you have a wonderful beginning to this new month before us.
Take good care,
