Enchanted Forest Collection

Having started a few years ago, I finally finished up my Enchanted Forest collection. Each piece pairs a vintage family photo with a favorite animal (or “familiar”). The animals generally live in west central Minnesota and the women include my Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and me. 😊

The flowers used in this collection were inspired by these peonies found in a supermarket in Boise, Idaho. 🖤

Next Up - Tarot Cards!

Thanks to those who participated in last month's poll asking which project I should work on next. Your answer was a Tarot Deck. This is yet another project I started a few years ago and have yet to complete. So let's do this!

 

A full tarot deck consists of 78 cards. I won’t be creating a full deck, just the Major Arcana which contains 22 cards, numbered from 0 to 21. The cards start with “The Fool” as 0 and end with “The World” as 21. 

 

Cards from the Rider-Waite® tarot deck (the most recognized deck) are shown below. My artwork will reflect the archetypes found in the Rider-Waite deck and will have a similar look to the “Enchanted Forest” images seen above.

Artsy project Update - Wicked Plant Art Journal

My Wicked Plant Art Journal is finally available to purchase on Amazon - but I'm not going to give you the link yet. 😉 I ordered a “real” copy just to make sure everything looks OK, and it's taking two weeks to get here! So, hold on for the reveal in my next update! 🌿
