What is included in a Simple Session? The session fee includes your 25-minute session. Digital files are purchased separately after you see the proofs – 5 files for $395, 10 for $550, or all for $695.
What if I want a Custom Session during Rose Week? Custom sessions are always available. A custom session includes a 60-minute photo shoot and a high-touch ordering meeting at our West Hartford Center studio. In the meeting, Jane helps you narrow down the choices and select products that you love. All files and products are purchased separately after you see the proofs. When is the best light? The best light happens during the last couple time slots of the day. However, Elizabeth Park offers many shady pockets with great light for shooting any time.
Where will the shoot be held? The shoot will be at Elizabeth Park located at 1561 Asylum Ave, Hartford, CT. We'll meet at the Rose Garden Gazebo.
When are the sessions? We shoot Custom Sessions all summer at Elizabeth Park but these Simple Sessions are offered June 16-24—when the roses are peak.
What if it rains? We want great photos just as much as you do so if the weather is rainy, we’ll postpone and reschedule the session.
Do you retouch the photos? Simple Session digital files are exposure- and color-corrected and lightly edited but full retouching like stray hairs, skin perfection, weight, wrinkles, etc. is not available. Custom Sessions include full retouching on most of the products. You can learn more about Simple Sessions and Custom Sessions here.
Can I order prints from you, too? We only sell digital files for Simple Sessions but they are printable up to 8x10. If you'd like the option to order prints, wall art, and other physical products (all retouched), we offer one-hour Custom Sessions for a $295 session fee with all products purchased a la carte. When do I see the photos? We will reach out within two weeks of your photo shoot to schedule your 3-day online gallery for you to review the images and choose your package. Once you pick your package, we turn around the image files within 24 hours.
Who are Jane and Mike? Jane and Mike have both been photographing for over 15 years and both love connecting with people, especially kids. They own IRIS Photography in West Hartford Center on LaSalle Road. Learn more on our About page. You and your family are in great hands!
