Hi First name / Slothies!
The other day, I was chatting with one of my younger relatives. He’s been out of college for a few years now and is full on in the adult working world. He was opening up about something that felt so familiar: the struggle of life after school that no one really prepares you for.
That feeling where every day starts to blend together—the 9–5 grind, coming home exhausted, and sometimes the only thing you can look forward to is getting back in bed. It’s a very real, very normal reaction to the hamster wheel of modern adulthood.
But it’s also an early warning sign of burnout.
And if it goes unchecked? You might just find yourself in the middle of a full-blown mental breakdown, therapy appointments, and a whole lot of tears. (Ask me how I know 👉 😬.)
It's so important to be present in your life and not just go into cruise control. Knowing what makes you happy and seeking that out consciously is the easiest way to eliminate that groundhog, monotonous feeling. Because life won't always be milestones, grand gestures, or exciting. You have to script that into your everyday.
That’s why I’m so passionate about celebrating small wins and sharing everything I’ve learned on the other side of my own burnout journey—through this newsletter, through my blog, through my social media content. If I can help one person feel even a little lighter, more joyful, and less trapped by their to-do list, it’s worth it.
This month, we’re diving into exactly that.
June is the start of summer which is the perfect time to talk about fun and how to start having more of it, more often.
I get you started with a few ideas in our latest blog How to Infuse More Joy Into Your Life.
If you're feeling stuck in the grind or like life is all work, no play. I've been where you are and it is possible to have fun again.
You just need the right support, a spark of inspiration, and a little nudge to get silly again.
And that’s what we’re here for.
Rooting for you always,
Renee 🦥
