The AlignED Care® Model recognizes that well-being is shaped by multiple interconnected factors. Rooted in J.L. Moreno's sociometry principles, it examines how individuals experience challenges across four key dimensions: internal (self-awareness and regulation), external (daily life and routines), community (relationships and support), and society (systemic factors and cultural influences).
We integrate DBT’s biosocial theory, which highlights how emotional dysregulation results from both biological predispositions and environmental invalidation. Our approach includes mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills and experiential work to help clients navigate their experiences across all four dimensions.
This model also considers the impact of neurodiversity, identity, transgenerational trauma and personal lived experiences on mental health. By acknowledging these influences, we create a personalized and inclusive approach that fosters recovery and well-being.
