Heya Wilderhood! I've been up to my eye balls in playing catch up and experimenting with sour dough while I brainstorm my next e-course (which requires a lot of puttering. Anyone else operate this way? I can't seem to think unless my body is in motion, doing laundry, sweeping floors, wandering around with my head in the clouds) and it's been so good. I've made a commitment to myself to be very “local” with regards to where my thoughts and emotions go, and I don't mean that I'm ignoring the world as it worlds in a spectacularly traumatizing fashion. I mean that I give myself an hour of that kind of awareness while watching CBC The National. I seethe, weep, ponder as needed, and then I turn my internal dial to “here, now, this moment”, and it's working for me. The AC is on. The HEPA filter is working away to clear the particulate matter the wildfires in my country are spreading far and wide. The sourdough starter is thriving. I'm back to pottery. |
