When I create a portrait, I aim to capture emotional essence.
My process is experimental and intuitive.
I don't plan or draw much beforehand, and I have no idea what the results will be.
I work loosely and expressively using the wet-on-wet technique.
Letting go of control, I allow the paint to have a life of its own,
as colors bleed together and slowly bloom.
It's a meditative experience that immerses me fully into the present moment.
The results blur the lines between abstraction and representation.
I believe the use of abstraction gets us closer to the way things truly are,
not just how they appear.
